1K a year Position Summary The Food Service Worker II (FSWII) is responsible for performing duties related to the preparation of cold food for all the patients and for special meetings.
The FSWII is required to keep the kitchen galleys stocked with appropriate nourishments at par levels.
Lastly, the FSWII is serves cold food items to patients on the tray line.
This position assures compliance with safety and sanitation standards according to Title 22, Joint Commission, and OSHA regulations.
This position will be primarily working with adults.
Major Responsibilities Cold Food Preparation - 60% Prepares salads, sandwiches, and desserts for all patients by using food production sheets and census.
Tray Line Service and Delivery - 20% Prepares condiment cart for tray line Places cold items onto patient trays.
Prepares patient nourishments for both inpatient and outpatient programs.
Delivers patient nourishments to inpatient floors Cleaning/Sanitation/Safety - 15% Checks and records cold storage temperatures in work area and in nourishment areas as needed.
Rotates cold stock using FIFO Cleans and sanitizes work area and food service equipment.
Cleans items according to weekend cleaning schedule Other - 5% Performs other related duties as needed.
This includes, but is not limited to, assisting the FSWI pm shift with dish and/or pot/pan washing.
May deliver late trays to diet clerk.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
Must provide for confidentiality, privacy and safety of patients, visitors and staff at all times.
Must be available to work all shifts if needed.
Fire Card Preferred:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment.
One year in food service desired.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
